Bishop David Lai of the Diocese of Taiwan Visited China

4/15/2007
[DIocese of Taiwan]

In November, 2006 Bishop David Lai of Taiwan went to China and visited for the first time. He was accompanied by Canon Margaret Larom, director of the Episcopal Church’s Office of Anglican and Global Relations, and Peter Ng, AGR’s partnership officer for Asia and the Pacific. They were received by the Chinese Protestant Church Association, and the “Three Self Patriotic Movement” Committee. The objective of the visit was to reach a better understanding of the Chinese Church, to build a relationship with the Chinese Church, and to help overseas churches to be better acquainted with the situation of the Church in China.
