Kowalewski: “I think that the death penalty is inconsistent with the Gospel, which is called to confirm life. I think it should be always opposed. There are alternative ways of punishing capital crimes. The death penalty always is offensive to the Gospel.”
Turner: “I’m against the death penalty, absolutely, because it solves nothing. Killing a person because he or she has killed someone really doesn’t solve anything.”
