ENGLAND: Canterbury expresses shock and sorrow at murder of Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho

March 13, 2008 [Episcopal News Service] The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, has expressed his deep shock and sorrow at the murder of Paulos Faraj Rahho, the Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul, who has been found dead near the Iraqi city of Mosul, where he had been kidnapped on February 29.

"Our prayers are daily with the people of Iraq, especially with the vulnerable Christian community, and particularly today with the Chaldeans and Archbishop Paulos' family," he said.
