Episcopal Health Ministries to host first conference in March
NEHM aims to promote health ministry in Episcopal congregations, assisting them to reclaim the Gospel imperative of health and wholeness.
"Seasons of Health Ministry," the conference theme, will focus on the various stages of health ministry, from planting the seeds to harvesting the rewards of a fruitful health ministries program.
The Rev. Jean Denton, founder of NEHM, will deliver the inaugural keynote address for the gathering that will offer participants the opportunity to learn, reflect, relax, worship and meet others engaged in health ministry.
Workshops titled Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall will explore topics such as planning; preparing self and congregations for health ministry and programs; planting implementing programs; nurturing, assessing and continuing programs; offering continued support; and celebrating health ministry programs. Exhibitors are welcome.
Cost for NEHM members is $150, non-members $180. There is a $25 early bird discount for all attendees and continuing education credit is available.
Additional information and registration is available here or by calling Matthew Ellis at 317-253-1277 ext. 16.
