Celebrating 106th Anniversary of the Episcopal Church Women of Saint Luke’s Church founded in 1901; the first officers were installed on June 5th, 1901 under the name of Saint Luke’s Women’s Auxiliary. The group helped organize “colored missions” and focused on acts of mercy such as, providing food, clothing, shelter, visiting the sick and comforting the bereaved. This group was an outgrowth of the women’s lay ministries that had organized aid societies following the Civil War. Many of the women who joined were immigrants from the Caribbean Islands. Most of the original members stayed with the organization until their deaths.

The Task Force will put together a curriculum for best practices for Black Congregations to develop training tools for mentorship and support.
June 24th, Guest Speaker at the Youth Awards Luncheon
The program is an annual event and is sponsored by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, (Men’s Guild, Christ Church) during which they honor the young people in their congregation that are graduating from high school with the intent of continuing their education in colleges or universities.
June 25th to July 28th, NNECA’37 Conference – Williamsburg, VA
National Network of Episcopal Clergy Associations
This conference is an exciting new strategy in NNECA's continuing goal to support its members and their families. Conference participants will worship and work in historic Williamsburg and the creative and thought provoking speakers will address challenges and possibilities for the 21st century church. Those in attendance will also commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Jamestown, Virginia colony and worship at historic Bruton Parish Episcopal Church.

EAM Consultations are designed to provide continuing education and training opportunities in the context of collegiality, collaboration and community. This year’s theme is, Working Towards Being “Competent Leaders in a Diverse, Changing Work”™, Part II.
